[ Marie has been on high alert ever since stumbling into the maze. Her eyes wildly peering from one corner to the next, occasionally frozen in fear when she happens to hear a ghastly roar — heart thrumming in her chest.
Her refuse to move despite the sound of something coming closer. Only snapping out of her fear when she collides with someone, which, unfortunately, has a shrill shriek tearing out of her throat. Arms lifted up in an attempt to shield herself — from another person? She didn’t expect that. ]
This maze and that must be a hallucination. It can't -- ! [ She turns her head, just in time to turn a corner and seeing something chasing after them. ]
[Asking Estelle to make a decision is a terrible choice. She hesitates, and is only shaken to action when the room trembles once again under the beast's advance]
[ She turns right, as directed, and continues to run down the hall of the maze. And because she said right Marie will just... instinctively turn right whenever they come across another fork.
[ COIN FLIPPING TO SEE IF MARIE TRIPS AND SHE DOESN'T :/ DAMN!
But that means they're making it to the door, turning the knob violently before pushing her whole weight into it. Collapsing forward and dropping back into the hallway just in time for the shadowy beast to have nearly reached them. ]
