[ Startled, Marie keeps her hands close to her chest. ]

We need to quickly find a way out, then. But this --

The door I came in through wouldn't open again...

[There's a thud somewhere behind her that makes the whole room shake a little. She gasps. Whatever it is, it's on the move again.]

Oh no... We have to move!

[classmate]

[ Marie reaches with hand, grabbing onto Estellise's and pulling them in... just the general opposite direction of the sound they're hearing. ]

What is that's following us... ?!

[mustbepurged]

[She's doing her best to keep up with Marie as they run.]

I don't know. It sounds like it's big... like a monster!

[classmate]

A monster --

This maze and that must be a hallucination. It can't -- ! [ She turns her head, just in time to turn a corner and seeing something chasing after them. ]

I-It might be real!?

[Estelle looks back too, her eyes widening.]

Oh, no...

K-keep running! [And she'll do the same.]

[ She keeps running because what else are they gonna do until they come up to a fork. ]

Left or right!?

[mustbepurged]

[Asking Estelle to make a decision is a terrible choice. She hesitates, and is only shaken to action when the room trembles once again under the beast's advance]

... Right! Let's go right!

[classmate]

[ She turns right, as directed, and continues to run down the hall of the maze. And because she said right Marie will just... instinctively turn right whenever they come across another fork.

Surely that has to work?

I also flipped a coin and APPARENTLY IT DOES. ]

I think I see another door!

Y-you do!?

Okay, we can make it! We can make it!!

[She forces the words out -- she's taking heavy, strained breaths as she tries to keep running, but that glimmer of hope seems to keep her moving.]

[ COIN FLIPPING TO SEE IF MARIE TRIPS AND SHE DOESN'T :/ DAMN!

But that means they're making it to the door, turning the knob violently before pushing her whole weight into it. Collapsing forward and dropping back into the hallway just in time for the shadowy beast to have nearly reached them. ]

[They burst out through the door and Estelle stumbles and flops right onto the floor.]

W, we made it...

[She takes a moment to try to catch her breath.]
