[Estelle spots Shinobu in the hallway outside of their rooms.]
Shinobu! -- Oh, should I call you Shinobu, or...? [Estelle never asked properly before, so she should probably check. She might prefer "Kocho," or some other nickname or title!]
Looks like we're in the same wing. Aren't these rooms amazing?
Yes. It's really different from the room I grew up in, but... maybe that's the comforting part. I always wanted to visit different places, have new experiences... that kind of thing.
[She goes over to the door and opens it for Shinobu.
Inside is what looks like the interior of a fairytale cottage. The room is round in shape, and looks almost as if it was built into a hollowed-out tree. The furniture is made of twisted, blossoming branches arranged in whimsical, asymmetrical shapes. Flowering vines drape down from hanging and mounted planters here and there.
Before them is a chair and a writing desk, as well as a cozy-looking nook with a round, cushioned bench surrounding a small table. There are bookshelves leading all the way up to the ceiling, filled with leatherbound books, though none have any legible titles. Through the windows, a lush grove with a great blossoming tree can be seen, with pink petals drifting along a gentle breeze.
A staircase that follows the curved walls upward leads to a loft, with pastel curtains drawn around it. It's probably where the bed is, but it's out of view.]
Part of it reminds me of the stories I'd always read... Fairy tales, stories of adventure, all these faraway lands I'd always dreamed of visiting.
But it also looks a lot like Halure... [She glances back at Shinobu.] The City of Flowers. It's the first place I went to after I finally left the castle for the first time.
I'd love to see a city known for its flowers, but I think you can make your own fairy tale, Estelle-san. You can write your own story.
[ outside the scope of a murdergame, anyway. shinobu is sincere, though. estelle's sweetness is charming, and she thinks estelle can grow to do great things or explore any place she wants. ]
[ and down a few doors. shinobu opens the door and lets estelle in. copypastes from app:
Shinobu's room has a somewhat traditional Japanese aesthetic - tatami floor, shoji screens, that off-white color with those warm cypress/cedar/pine tones, etc. It will be warm, welcoming, healing, but also clean and tidy in the way someone who practices medicine should approach their work station.
There are bookshelves with fake books that look to be about plants, medicine, and other medical knowledge. Other shelves seem to hold empty (fake?) binders that look as if they'd hold medical records. There are also shelves and drawers that are organized and structured in a way to look to be as if they're meant to hold medical supplies and different chemical compounds. There are cute and well-tended houseplants tucked away here and there. There's a cute but empty goldfish bowl hanging out on the floor somewhere.
Her bed is large but low to the floor, almost like a futon. Her covers are comfy and soft but elegant in color scheme. There is mural backdrop behind her bed of wisteria trees/flowers. There's a low table in the center with cushions surrounding it. Paper lamps are placed strategically everywhere for function and for aesthetic - ceiling, floor, desk, etc. Her desk is simple but with drawers and (empty) file organizers and a chair tucked into it. There is a very aesthetic tea set sitting on it. There are empty containers for what would be pens and brushes. Her dresser is also a simple wooden dresser.

[ she has heard enough people refer to estelle as to estelle to assume that's what she prefers to be called. ]
The rooms seem to cater to us in some way. Does your room put you at ease?

[ shinobu's room isn't all that different from her home, but that's insight into how trapped estelle may have felt. ]

Thank you. I'll do my best.
... Oh! Would it be okay if I saw your room, too?

she lifts estelle's hand. ]
Of course. Let's go. My room is a bit less picturesque than yours.

[Estelle's eyes light up when she steps inside.]
There's something elegant about this place... I think it suits you really well, Shinobu!
