PERSONALITY Estelle is about as sheltered as a princess can be. Having spent her whole life in the castle with her only source of information being what's written in books, her own experience with the real world has, until recently, been minimal. As a result, her manners may be impeccable, but she has very little in the way of street smarts. Sarcasm and hyperbole fly right over her head. On the other hand, she has spent a good deal of her life with her nose buried in books, and she knows the dictionary definition of all kinds of things. Estelle loves reading and history, and takes great interest in any books or ancient sites found in her travels. She's even begun taking steps towards becoming a writer herself. In addition, she is extremely kind and a generally optimistic person who always does her best to see the good in people. There's nothing that makes her happier than being able to help those in need - and with her unique healing abilities, she's usually able to. She's always willing to offer support and encouragement to anyone who could use it. Estelle also happens to be the kind of person who'll consider any short-time acquaintance a friend. Estelle loves trying new things, and when people try to discourage her, she only becomes more determined to try. Because of her limited world experience, she finds great joy in doing things she previously could only read or dream about. On a less fun side, Estelle carries a fair amount of guilt thanks to learning that her happy healing powers have some not-so-nice side effects that have actually done a great deal of harm despite her good intentions. While she's past the stage of seriously questioning if she has any right to keep living, there's a lingering need to prove that she's worthy of having a place in the world. She struggles with insecurities and indecisiveness, and envies those who can act decisively. ABILITIES Healing Magic: Estelle has the power to heal wounds, though more severe wounds take more time and energy out of her. She also has a number of defensive and supportive skills at her disposal. Light Magic: Estelle has a number of spells that use the light/holy element to attack her enemies. Swordfighting: Estelle is trained in the use of rapiers and shields, and despite her looks, is a competent fighter. She's much more impressive at defending than attacking, however, and her blade is a lot less threatening than her magic. Reading: Estelle spends a lot of her free time reading and possesses (mostly trivial) knowledge of a wide variety of subjects.
